PTFE (also known as Teflon) has the lowest co-efficient of friction of any solid material and is greatly effective operating at extreme temperatures. This rod also has a fantastic chemical resistance and excellent electrical insulation properties. However, PTFE rod can be difficult to bond, but it is non-melting and is also self-extinguishing. Our manufacturers make engineering plastics that are somewhat oversized in either diameter and/or thickness. This is provided to assist customers to produce very accurate items within the size shown and remove any minor surface imperfection.
PTFE Rod Features:Usage temperature range is very broad (Celsius from - 200 degrees to +260 degrees); Anti-majority chemical substance's corrosiveness, except some fluorides and alkalinity moltenmetal;Excellent mechanical properties, aging resistance;Excellent flame resistance(Conforms to ASTM-D635 and D470 test step),in the air to be regulated as a flame retardant material;Very low water absorption......
