What is PTFE sintering furnace?

PTFE sintering furnace is a special furnace applied to the drying of PTFE in the aviation, automotive, household appliances, scientific research and other fields, to test and determine the parameters and performance of electricians, electronics, products and materials after temperature changes.

Components

The PTFE sintering furnace is mainly composed of furnace body, hearth, steam heat exchanger, electric heater, support, circulating fan, moisture discharging fan, refractory material and electric heating device, etc.

1. The furnace body has the frame structure, and its full-welding inner cavity, making it easier to clean.
2. Composite insulation minimizes the heat transferred between inner skeleton and outer skeleton. Unexposed insulation materials ensure that the average temperature rise of the outer wall of the furnace body remains within 20 ℃ higher than the ambient temperature, thus effectively preventing heat loss.
3. The hearth is firm and durable, and will not be deformed. Pressure bar locks are used in the hearth and the furnace body. Silicone rubber is used as the sealing material, to ensure that the hearth is sealed tightly.
4. Preheating of steam heater and compensation of electric heater inside the furnace realizes the temperature control accuracy of ±0.5 ℃. Multi-point dual-setting temperature measurement ensures true and reliable monitoring temperature and provides over-temperature alarm function.
5. Axial circulating fan with large air volume and low noise, together with movable perforated plate, ensures uniform temperature in the PTFE sintering furnace and avoids dust flying.
6. The bearing seat of the circulating fan is well sealed and equipped with oil slinger, to prevent lubricants into the furnace.
7. Controlled by frequency conversion, the moisture discharging fan discharges the moisture according to the process requirements.

Design of microwave sintering furnace


1. Principle of microwave sintering of ceramic materials

The reaction of materials to microwave can be divided into four situations: microwave reflection microwave transmission; microwave absorption; partial absorption of microwave. Most metals fall into the first category, while all glass and ceramic materials fall into the latter three categories. When a ceramic body is placed in a microwave field, the absorbed power can be expressed by the following equation

Where, P is the microwave power absorbed by the ceramic body; F is the frequency; ε is the composite dielectric constant; λ 0  is the wavelength of microwave in vacuum; E is the intensity of electric field; tan δ is the loss tangent of dielectric ceramics; The loss tangent (the ratio of the loss factor to the dielectric constant) is usually used to express the coupling capability of the material to the microwave.The higher the loss tangent value is, the stronger the coupling ability between the material and microwave is.

2. Design of microwave high temperature heating furnace

Microwave heating furnace is mainly composed of monitoring system, control system, insulation box, microwave generator, heating box and gas storage tank. The heating box is made of stainless steel mirror plate. Cooling water can flow in the sandwich between two layers of stainless steel plate to achieve the cooling of heating box. The temperature sensor we use is RAYR3I1MSCL2U infrared thermometer of American leitai company. The control system can realize manual control and automatic control. In order to prevent in the microwave oven door closed after microwave heating furnace from the oven door and leak out of the gaps between the cavity, in addition to heating furnace door in processing and manufacturing to ensure the high dimensional precision and assembly precision, we in the microwave oven door installed around the choke groove structure, this structure can effectively reduce the leakage of microwave. The selection, field design and insulation of the microwave generator are the key factors in the sintering furnace design.

3. Microwave generator selection

Mag netron, Klystron and Gyrotron are generally selected in microwave heating devices. As the "heart" of microwave sintering equipment, its choice will directly affect the performance and cost of the whole equipment. The commonly used frequency in microwave sintering device is:
915 MHz, 2.45 GHz, 6 GHz, 28 GHz and 60 GHz, etc. Generally, magnetron can be selected as microwave generator for lower frequencies such as 915 MHz and 2.45 GHz,6 GHz can be selected as speed regulating tube, and higher frequencies such as 28 GHz and 60 GHz can be selected as magnetic coil.

As the frequency and power of various microwave generators increase, their price ratio ($/ Watt) will increase significantly. If high power microwave generator is needed in the design, it is recommended to use the same frequency and low power generator to obtain by power superposition.

4.Design of insulation structure

The most commonly used insulation structure in microwave sintering furnace is buried powder type and box type. Buried powder insulation structure has the advantages of good insulation effect. However, when samples are sintered at a higher temperature, adhesion between samples and buried powder is easy to occur. After the samples are sintered, direct contact will occur. But this structure is not as good as buried powder insulation structure. Combining the characteristics of two insulation structures, we designed a box-type insulation structure.

Powder Metallurgy Pressed Sintering Integrative Furnace



The physical and mechanical properties of the metal powder can be obtained by sintering. For multicomponent liquid phase sintering, the sintering temperature is generally lower than that of refractory metals, but higher than that of fusible metals.

1.    Powder metallurgy sintering process
After the powder forming process, sintering and post-treatment (such as finishing) are required. Sintering and finishing are generally done separately. That is, sintering finished, and then put on the press finishing. For multicomponent liquid phase sintering, this separate process makes the quality of products difficult to be guaranteed. The sintering temperature is low, the fusible metal is not melted, and the bonding enhancement effect is not obtained. High sintering temperature, fusible metal melting, and easy loss and re-accumulation, will also affect the quality of products. The ideal method is to press in the furnace immediately when the sintering temperature is reached. The following describes the structural principles of some pressurized and sintered integrated equipment used in aviation powder metallurgy for high temperature sealing materials of copper or steel in the range of 500 ~ 900 , pressing in the range of 50 ~ 2 000 kg and controlling accuracy of ±1.5% of the set value.

In order to achieve pressure sintering of powder metallurgy, the following problems need to be solved in the equipment:
(1)  when the products are heated in the reducing atmosphere, the sealing of the furnace cover and the furnace tank must be ensured first, and the gas cannot be leaked. When the furnace tank is expanded by heat, when the tank body extends, there should be expansion and contraction space, can not be gored;
(2)  pressurization is carried out in the 900 high temperature furnace tank, and the extrusion mechanism is set in the furnace tank. Firstly, the high temperature strength of metal materials should be considered, and secondly, the sealing of sports pairs should be considered. They cannot produce creep, cannot be bitten to death, and the friction resistance should not be too large;
(3)  the melting point of copper alloy is generally more than 750 . Once the sintering temperature reaches, the pressure should be followed up immediately, and the pressure should be given as much as it is set, followed up dynamically, and the pressure should be kept stable.
(4)  the heating process and pressurizing process are controlled by PLC (programmable control) to ensure the repeatability of sintering process.

2.  Equipment structure features

The invention relates to a steel - based product with copper alloy powder as adhesive, pressurized and sintering furnace.

In this furnace, there is a fixed pressure head of metal embedded in the furnace body, furnace frame, elevator, furnace cover trolley, furnace tank and pressure cover. The upper end of the fixed pressure head is connected with the beam of the furnace body, and only the pressure plane inside the furnace is exposed. The furnace body, furnace frame, beam and fixed pressure head are rigidly connected. When the bottom plate of the furnace frame is welded with the ground embedded iron, a rigid frame member is formed. The vertical distance between the bearing plane of the upper constant pressure head and the ground is fixed.

The elevator is set in the pit below the furnace. The upper plane of the elevator is welded with two tracks, flush with the ground track, to facilitate the access of the furnace cover trolley. The surrounding plane of the furnace cover trolley is equipped with two sealing grooves, the inner ring is sand seal, and the outer ring is liquid seal (emulsion).There are N pressure springs in the liquid seal tank, which can carry the weight of the furnace.
